Allergy Awareness

The Schools Allergy Code is a code of practice to help schools keep pupils with allergies safe. As a school, we have adopted the Code and use the associated checklist to ensure it is following best practices.

The Code has been co-created by parents, educators, and clinicians, Benedict Blythe Foundation, ISBA and The Allergy Team.

More information about the Benedict Blythe Foundation can be found here.

All schools are encouraged to use the Schools Allergy Code to ensure good allergy management in their setting. The Code and its accompanying Checklist can be found here.

Please see Pabulums (our school caterers) medical diet policy.

You can fill download a medical diet request form for the caterers here if your child has a food allergy. The school office will also need to be informed.

Here are some other useful policies:

Administering medication policy

Allergen and anaphylaxis policy

First Aid Policy

Any child that needs medication for allergies such as epi pens or allergy medicine must fill out an individual care plan which can be found here
