Administering Medication

 

Where possible, we like to have all children in school if they are well enough. To facilitate this, we are able to administer prescribed medication to your child if necessary on a short-term basis. Due to staffing restraints, this can only be done during the school day. If your child needs medication during breakfast or after-school club, we ask you to either come and give it to them yourself or collect your child at the end of the school day. Please note staff cannot administer eye drops or ointments.

If your child requires medication, please fill out the form below before arriving at school. If you don't fill it out beforehand, please be prepared to wait in the office at busy times. Thanks for your understanding.

Please note, this form is for temporary medication. If your child has a longer term condition like asthma, you will need to fill out an individual health care plan.
